Quick post: Some great rarities have shown up over the past few days, including a Reddish Egret at the Botanic Gardens in the Chicago suburbs. Hopefully we will be able to see that bird later this week.

They took the photos down. The bird was initially identified as an Ash-throated Flycatcher, which seemed incorrect to us, and apparently to everyone else who looked at the photo as well, and the original observer/photographer eventually withdrew his id and agreed that it was merely a Great Crested Flycatcher.
I'm protesting the BINAC girl of the week--where's Scarlett Johansson??
Those other girls don't hold a candle to her.
But was it really pale?
