Birders search for the Ivory-billed Woodpecker in Florida

Great article! Got the impression that the area hadn't been birded much since the days of James Audubon. Wonder if there is any data from past Christmas Counts or Breeding Bird Surveys?
Good question. There is a fairly active bird club/Audubon Society in the area.
There was once a CBC: Choctawhatchee Bay, FL 3027n 08631w[77-80,83-98] Looks like it is currently still active, the participation stats from last year are pasted below. Not sure if any other circle would be closer. There is a Port St. Joe CBC as well, stats also posted below.
