Imperial Woodpecker Search Comes Up Empty

Based on reports sent recently to the Mexico birding list, several searchers have been unsuccessful in relocating the Imperial Woodpecker that was reported from near Copper Canyon a few weeks ago. This sighting will probably forever remain a mystery, but at least someone was able to quickly check it out to try for confirmation.
