More proof of abnormal Pileated Woodpeckers.

I will try to be Tom Nelson for a day. Here is a message from a good Friend of BINAC (aka FOBINAC) who I'll just call British Steve. The sighting was in Illinois, but still, Cornell and the other defenders of the alleged Arkansas Ivory-billed Woodpecker sightings can't honestly claim that there aren't Pileateds with some funky extra white (beige? what's that all about) on the back:

Most interesting was excellent views of a pair ofPileated Woodpeckers, the female however was leucistic and lacked any black pigment, instead where the black should have been it was replaced by a light biege. Smart looking bird indeed!

Since British Steve didn't have his camera with him, I'm guessing the bird he saw was actually an Ivory-billed, you know how they hate cameras!!! The second bird was probably just an abnormal IBWO.
